Film Makers and Ealing Movie Makers
The competition was held at Amersham and in front of a large audience of 80 the club beat the other two films in 2 categories.

Here is the scorecard
The standard of the competing films was very high and the committee have decided that they are worth showing to a wider membership. So there is an evening planned on 16th October to show the films from the other two clubs
This year's master classes were held at Conle Valley Railway.

Lester Redding kindly gave up his time to mentor two small groups of members, on two different Sundays,  at this well- known Steam Railway attraction

The groups spent many hours filming the steam engine and carriages as the train travelled up and down the 2 miles of track. Later everybody had the opportunity to travel on the train and film the view from inside and outside the carriages

Master Class at Colne Valley
Lester was even able to get permission for people to get on to the track to get some ground level shots of the wheels and drive rods

After the group has examined and sorted their footage, their should be enough material to make an intersting 3 minute film. The members efforts can be seen when they show them to the rest of the club on 21st Oct
Our films were praised by all the judges. The event was watched by a strong contingent from South Essex Film Makers  who made the trip to Amersham
.
The host club did an excellent job and give us something to live up to when we host the final here in Rayleigh on 13th May 2012
